Bloom Where You Are Planted

This card is meant to be a pick me up card when someone is down.  The challenge this week at Fairy Fun Fridays is to Use Flowers, well I might have got a little carried away .... flowered paper, flowered die cuts, flower with the image, paper flowers, silk flowers... what do you think too much?  The adorable image holding the daffodil in the center is called "Daffodil for You" and is created by the very talented Prairie Fairy Queen over at Prairie Fairy Designs.  I normally incorporate a bunch of other challenges with each card, but really wanted to try a tri-shutter card and the color combos this week that I normally visit didn't lend itself to my creation.  Oh well!  The die cut flower is a Big Shot die called Tulipe and I followed the tutorial over at Michelle Zindorf's site.

Stamps:  Daffodil for You - Prairie Fairy Designs, Bloomin' Beautiful - SU
Paper:  Mellow Moss, Whisper White, So Saffron, Garden Green, Certainly Celery and assorted PP
Ink:  So Saffron inkpad, Summer Sun, Garden Green and Mellow Moss SU markers
Accessories:  sponge, designer label punch, modern label punch, tulipe die cut, paper flowers, buttons, silk flowers, copics, coloring pencils, blending stump and baby oil

Wow, this is just so fabulous, Kelly! I love the color combo you used and those tulips are amazing. I have never tried one of the tri-fold shutter cards - they look very intimidating! Yours came out perfect!
