Watch out!!

Well the challenge over at Fairy Fun Fridays was to use tissue paper.  I was unsure of what to do so I started scanning the resources page over at Splitcoast Stampers and saw this Acetate and Tissue tutorial and thought I can do that for water, but what image to use.  Hmmm!  Prairie Fairy's son Sam created this digi image of crab monster and I thought this would work out great.  So I had a plan, then I looked for a sketch challenge that would fit and found Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge 271, I am semi-satisfied with my interpretation of the sketch.  It is plainer than I have been doing and just seemed to be lacking something.  I also searched for a color challenge I could incorporate into the mix and tried Color Throwdown Challenge 83, however, I exchanged Wild Wasabi for Green Galore as I didn't have any Wild Wasabi.  I used the discarded pieces from the icicle border punch for the algae at the bottom of the water.

This cute little boy card is my entry for the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge 268 and Color Throwdown 80.  When I looked at the gallery for this sketch I was inspired by Heather's entry into this challenge.  I then went looking for my sitting stamps and thought this would work out well with papers I had.  Hope you like it.

Another challenge entry

This card qualifies for 3 challenges: Splitcoast Sketch Challenge 267, Color Dare 55, and Digital Tuesday Challenge - All About Animals.  I used a crimper on the stars, I embossed and metallic rubbed the piece of kraft paper.  The mice are colored using the coloring pencil tutorial at Prairie Fairy, but I used copics for their tutus.

SC265 & Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge 16 Entry

Here is my entry for both the Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge 265 and Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge 16 which was "Shades of Gray". I changed the embellishment to the opposite side of the sketch I hope that is okay. I used both copics and pencil crayons blended with baby oil when I colored the image. I tried to make the yarn look variegated, but I don't know if it shows up to well.

The color challenge was to use Only Orange (squeaked through with the dog collar), Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue and Old Olive.

I thought I would be really stuck when I went looking for patterned paper to make this card as I have 4 daughters. Much to my delight I found the bone paper that fit right in with the image I had chosen.
