Gotcha!!

I love the humor in this image by Greeting Farm, one of their digi images.  I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers Challenge 92 and I pierced the corners of the image to qualify for Digital Tuesday Challenge 49.  I moved the sentiment to another spot as it didn't work the other way when I flipped the sketch.

Covering all my bases with this entry

Well with this card I am eligible to entry many challenges, thankfully as my time seems at a premium lately.  The sketch is from Friday Sketchers Challenge 91, which worked beautifully with Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge of make a vintage angel Christmas card with a round focal point.  I hope oval works too.  I used Ranger Broken China distress ink and softened it with my aquapainter for the angel and added glitter and pearls for the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 92.  Topped it off by making it monochromatic for the Winter Wonderland Challenge 40 and tell me this isn't best suited to be given to a girl for Christmas so I am submitting this to Susie and Vikki's Christmas Card Challenge 6.

Stamps:  Angels - Inkadinkado, Many Merry Messages - SU
Ink:  Brocade Blue, Ranger Broken China Distress Ink
Paper:  Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue and unknown DSP

Not my norm

Well I just spent a wonderful evening with a bunch of fairies, prairie fairies that is, including the queen fairy.  I was fortunate enough to spend time with all of the honorary fairies, Corry, Lori P and our queen fairy, Roberta.  We had to fit it in before Corry has her baby (due date Feb 28).

I wanted to use this cute image from Crafters Companion for my Friday Sketchers Challenge 90.  Then it was too big for my normal 4.25 x 5.5" cards, so Corry was gracious enough to give me a 5.5 x 5.5 piece of paper and it worked beautifully.  I used a punch and emboss corner punch for the corners of the image and rubbed it with metallic rub ons to better show the embossing.  I thought I would qualify for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge 46 as I used brown, pink, flowers and a butterfly as well but I missed the deadline by a little.  I am lucky enough to qualify for Your Next Stamp Challenge 10 - spring colours and A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 91 - Spring is in the Air.

3 Challenges 1 Card

I have had this image printed off for some time just waiting for the right sketch which Friday Sketchers Challenge 87 provided this week. I learned this technique from Roberta (Prairie Fairy) it is using pencil crayons, baby oil and blending stumps. I love the soft look it gives this image. Once I colored it, I saw that it went well with Color Dare 53 and lucky me the image, the greeting and silk flower qualify me for Cute Card Thursday's challenge 97 "Bloomin' Gorgeous". A close up of the soft effect that this coloring technique gives.

FS84

Another challenge entry, finally catching up, it's amazing what a few hours at home will let you get done. I love this image and had a great time coloring her as she rocks the snow drifts. I masked and sponged the backgrounds on all three layers. Then I drew in a few lines for drifts with my SU marker.

FS67, CTD57 & CBC11

This challenge sketch gave me several ideas, so I did two cards. The sketch is from Friday Sketchers. The first card also incorporates the Color Throwdown Challenge 57. I didn't have Positively Pink and substituted Melon Mambo. I stamped the damask images randomly over the card front and as I added layers I aligned them with the previous images and used the stamp-a-ma-jig and re-stamped the images. All rectangles and the cardfront are sponged prior to stamping takes place. After all stamping is complete I stamped the greeting and sponged it. Then I took a silver metallic pencil and highlighted the underside and right side of each of the images. Stamps: Inkadinkado Bold Damasks, SU Circle of Friendship
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, sponge, Derwent Metallic Pencils, 1 3/8" circle punch

The additional challenge besides the sketch is from Copic Buzz Challenge and the theme was inspired by nature.
Stamps: SU Serengeti, Inkadinkado Animal Skins
Ink: Basic Black, Black Brillance, copic markers
Paper: Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Whisper White
Accessories: sponge, 1 3/8" circle punch
Copics used:
Grass: Y17, E31, E35
Leaves: BG93
Branch: E47
Bird: E31, E47, white gel pen
Shadow: BG10
Whew! Just one more challenge left to complete for this week.
