Ric Rac Attack Challenge

Hello, I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful fall we are having, the drive to work  is a new canvas to enjoy everyday as the colors are constantly changing.  This week at Fairy Fun Fridays we are doing a bit of a change up, the Design Teams swapped and we are presenting images from another company called Cowgirl Up, the image here is called L'il Bit.  I colored the image with coloring pencils and blended them with a blending stump and baby oil for the soft look that you see.  I used the sketch from Simon Says Stamp and the card also qualifies for the Digital Tuesday Challenge 77 - It's All About the Girls and Anything Goes Challenge 17 - Cute.

Finally a card

Hello everyone I hope you are all enjoying our last month of summer vacation, soon the kids will be back in school and we will be back in the race of running them to this and that.  I so enjoy the summer and how I don't have to nag my children to do their homework or get up early for school.  Even with it being summer, I am not finding as much time as I would like (maybe I should say focused time) to craft.  I made this card to enter into the following challenges sketch - Card Patterns 75; Something Yummy - The Pink Elephant Challenge 78; and Go Dotty - Simon Says.  I used the digital image Sundae available at Prairie Fairy Designs.

Multi challenges, a first in a long time for me....

Well I had the opportunity to color yesterday and then actually put it together into a card today.  I used one of the adorable images from Greeting Farm's Miss Anya Love Set, colored her with copics, coloring pencils, blending stump and baby oil.  She is sitting pretty and just waiting to be shared with someone.

Tent card

A tent card was the challenge over at Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge 20 this week, first of all I had to learn what a tent card was and then dream up what I was going to do.  Lucky for me the challenge at Simon Says Stamp is also a tent card with charms (sun).  I used many images from Prairie Fairy Designs to create this card, for details see the list below.  I drew an ark, then sponged it and added detail.  The waves are double in depth as I added a layer to the folded crease at the bottom of the card.  I used the Swirly border die cut and glued it to blue cardstock and then trimmed it to look like waves.  I turned my Dress Up Roo image into Noah this time around and make sure not to miss out on the dove eyelet flying above.  Hope you all enjoy my first attempt at a tent card, I didn't have any jump rings so used sewing thread instead.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I laid the card down for this view so that you could indeed see that I added a charm, I thought it made an interesting sun.

Timid Wishes

It feels like eons since my last card, May is way too busy for me.  I finally got all of my new images adhered to the cling foam.  This new image is Willow with Flower Basket by Elisabeth Bell designed for Whiff of Joy and I have used it for my Whiff of Joy Challenge 78 which is the sketch shown below.  I used the colors from Color Throwdown 91, I didn't have any Kiwi Kiss paper so I substituted Green Galore.  This card also works for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge of Birthdays/Celebrations.

Baby Blues

This card is not traditional as it is blue and white but it will be given to someone with a little girl because of all the frills.  The card is entering in Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 48, it qualifies for Digital Tuesday Challenge - blue and white, Simon Says Stamp Challenge - for a child, Cupcake Inspiration Challenge 54 - I used brown for the hair of the child, the lace is on the outfit and the punched borders and the flowers are on the background paper.  This also works for Delightful Sketches Challenge - buttons and bling, my bling is the Stickles on the skirt ruffles and the Swaroski crystals.  Hope you like it!!

Delectable

My entry is a little later than normal this week for Fairy Fun Fridays challenge.  This week it was a color challenge to go with the picture below.  I love how the weave of the basket goes with the weave of the cone.  Also on my ribbon it has a herringbone design that matches but is difficult to see except up close.  This sweet image can be found at Prairie Fairy Digital Stamps.  I used the sketch from Mojo Monday 133 and it works for this week's theme at Simon Says Stamp which is For a Child.

Easter Masculine Style

I have a single brother in law that will also need a card at Easter and this suited to the tee (no pun intended).  Cards for Men's theme this week is humour.  It is hard to be masculine with those adorable little chicks all around like that but the color theme at Color Throwdown 86 suited it.  I used this great image Chick Magnet from Prairie Fairy Digital Stamps and the challenge over at Fairy Fun Fridays this week was to use texture.  I embossed the green circle, distressed the edges of the image and its mat, added liquid pearls to the socks and the ribbon should cover all of that.  The distressing also works for the Simon Says Challenge. I used the sketch from Mojo Monday 132.

Kitty Smile

I love all Penny Black images and loved it when I found the challenge blog for her stamps.  Here is my entry to Penny Black Challenge 92 - Spring colors, which also works for The Pink Elephant Challenge 58 - spring.  I missed out on the timing for the Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 20, but used those colors as my theme anyway.  The sketch is from Simon Says Stamp Challenge and I also would like to enter it for the lots of green with Digitial Tuesday Challenge 50.  I can't believe it when I went to enter my card for this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge, I discovered that I had won the prize for last week's challenge, 3 free digi images from Digital Stamp Oasis.  Lucky me!!  Thank you so much.

Sweet Dreams Bedtime Bella

Well I lucked out again, this card qualifies for several challenges.  First and foremost, because I am an honorary fairy (lucky me), Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge 9 - to use the color green.  I love this sweet little girl all ready for bed.  I used the sketch from Card Patterns Sketch 53; added scallops for Digital Tuesday Challenge 48; it's girly for Simon Says Stamp Challenge; Delightful Sketches challenge is to be kid themed; and Cute Card Thursday Challenge 102 is Lucky Green.  Hmmmm anyway notice a theme of green this week in a lot of different challenges.  I colored her with the coloring pencil technique showed on Prairie Fairy's site as a tutorial, super easy and works great.
